台北市長柯文哲上任來最頭痛的大巨蛋，是2017年世大運開閉幕預定場地，安檢報告要4月中出爐，屆時最嚴重可能「拆蛋」。北市府目前雖尚未向FISU（國際大學運動總會）提出變更開閉幕地點，但已將台北田徑場列備案，讓大巨蛋與世大運「脫鉤」，無論大巨蛋工程進度如何，遠雄都不能以「辦不了世大運」為由「威脅」市府。

北市府幕僚表示，北市府檢視大巨蛋案是從長遠看，不受賽事時程僅1、2周的世大運影響，包括園區安全、對都市整體規畫有無助益，都是考量點。

幕僚指出，「大巨蛋」與「世大運」脫鉤後，遠雄無法再以「大巨蛋若蓋不成，世大運怎舉辦」為由威脅市府，北市也已想好開閉幕場地可變更至台北田徑場，雖然容納人數較大巨蛋少近一半，但過去國際上也曾有變更場地先例，等結果確定會向FISU報告。

台北市體育局長洪嘉文表示，4月15日體檢報告出爐前，有無替代場地都是假設，因此不做回答，也還未向FISU提。等大巨蛋體檢報告出來，會由柯親自向外界說明。
